Healthcare Resources


If you need health insurance:

Covered California: Free service that connects people with health insurance Medi-Cal: health insurance program that offers free or low cost health insurance coverage for children and adults with limited income and resources. Application is the same for both:

Contra Costa Crisis Center provides 24/7 counseling, support, help, and hope by phone or text to people who are in emotional crisis, or feeling depressed, distressed, anxious, or have thoughts of suicide, 24-hour language translation services available.   • Lincoln's HOPE program is a school based mental health program providing services to students in K-12. Lincoln provides integrated behavioral support for students, families and schools to develop tools and learning environments for academic success across all levels from teacher consultation, student counseling and whole school support. For students referred for more comprehensive support, Lincoln provides an array of services including: in-class/playground support (elementary level), individual, group and family therapy, teacher consultation, crisis intervention and community outings. West contra costa county youth services bureau (YSB)

  • Wraparound is a philosophy of care that includes a definable planning process involving the child and family that results in a unique set of community services such as Mentor support, Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), individual therapy, school counseling, to name a few. Additionally the program involves natural supports like family members or a supportive friend of the family individualized for that child and family to achieve a positive set of outcomes.   • In response to the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on society, multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have made updates to their low-cost internet service programs to ensure individuals and families stay connected to the internet during this challenging time. Xfinity Wifi (Free)

Everyone can now access 1.5 million out-of-home Xfinity WiFi hotspots for free: These hotspots are normally located in business areas, retail locations and transit areas. To find your nearest hotspot, enter your zip code in the link. Once you are at the location, follow the instructions at xfinity.com/wifi to join the hotspot. These 1.5 million hotspots are now free for all who need them through this challenging time. Find tips on how to access Xfinity hotspots here.


AT&T (Access Internet)

Access from AT&T is a program to provide low-cost wireline home Internet service to qualifying households with at least 1 resident who participates in the U.S. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) with an address in AT&T's 21-state service area at which AT&T offers wireline home Internet service.

California households with at least one resident who receives Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits are also eligible for this offer under the same Access requirements that apply to SNAP participants.

AT&T has temporarily expanded eligibility to include National School Lunch Program (NSLP), Head Start or income based. Click here for more information.

california disaster relief assistance for immigrants (DRAI)

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, California is providing one-time state-funded disaster relief assistance to undocumented adults who are ineligible for other forms of assistance, including assistance under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and pandemic unemployment benefits, because of their immigration status. This state funding is expected to reach about 150,000 undocumented adults.

The California Department of Social Services has selected twelve immigrant-serving nonprofit organizations to help individuals apply for and receive this disaster relief assistance in their region. An undocumented adult who qualifies can receive $500 in direct assistance, with a maximum of $1000 in assistance per household.
