Purple Squirrel Summer Groups and Classes

During the summer, Purple Squirrel Musik offers a number of classes and performing groups.  Concert Band, Brass Choir, Woodwind Ensembles, Jazz Band, and Handbells will be operating in the summer of 2026.  Beginning guitar/ukulele and Beginning Handbells will be new offerings this summer.  All classes are in the  evenings in June and July.

Mondays

5:30 pm-6:30pm...Beginner Guitar and Ukulele Class (ages 8 and older, no music experience required ).  You can provide your own instrument, or there are a limited number of instruments to rent for this class.

5:30pm-6:30pm...Purple Squirrel Community Jazz (any age, but you must have two years of experience playing your instrument)

Tuesdays

6:30-8 pm....Purple Squirrel Singers.  No experience needed.  Any age from children to adults.

Thursdays

5:30pm-6:30pm...Beginner Handbell Class (Age 11 and up, no music experience required)

6pm-7:30om....Purple Squirrel Acorn Winds (Concert Band) performs at the July 4th Fireworks Show in Lenoir.  (any age, but you must have at least 1 year of experience playing your instrument)

6pm-7pm....Purple Squirrel Brass and Purple Squirrel Woodwinds beginning July 6th (any age, but you must have at least 2 year of experience playing your instrument)

7pm-8pm...Purple Squirrel Pickers (any age, but you need to have some experience playing guitar, banjo, bass, fiddle, or mandolin)

7:30pm-8:30pm...Purple Squirrel Ringers  (any age, but must have some handbell experience)
