Purple Purlers is unique in that the whole organization was build through the interest of the students. Six years ago, the leader, Jennifer Zok, was approached by two students who were very eager to learn how to knit. Through that, the organization grew and grew until it became an established club in Fairlawn Public School. Through this, Purple Purlers has donated over 100 hand-made articles of clothing to different charities across the Province.
There are many ways you can help Purple Purlers to provide more animals with a safe, warm home. Firstly, you can help by spreading the word about this organization. The more people that know, the more animals we will be able to help. Another excellent way to help us is by creating your own handmade goods and donating it to one of our many locations so that we can supply charities with supplies to help more animals. Furthermore, you can also donate funds to the organization so that we will be able to supply our students with more resources to make more hand-knitted blankets for animals.
