The Club will promote an understanding and love for Purple Martins and other birds of Leisure World through educational workshops, bird-watching events, and community outreach programs, highlighting their unique interdependence with the environment, beneficial insects, and native plants and trees.
As Chair of the Purple Martin and Bird Club at Leisure World, I am dedicated to fostering our community’s appreciation for birds and leading efforts in songbird conservation. My passion for birding began in college in Southern California, and I take pride in helping our community learn about what is necessary to support local bird populations.
