Here is a quick message from Melissa our Year 6 teacher at Tower Bridge.
Hello new Purple class @ Robert Browning parents and carers!
This year 6 will be taught by James (Mr. Kinneir as he used to be known) and Danni (Miss. Jordan as she used to be known) alongside Flore.
Our topic for this term is the Second World War and it's impact not only during the war but also now.
The Topic Web with everything we will be learning is posted on the class page (see the link at the top) along with the half term homework sheet and a knowledge organiser to help your home learning.
Reading journals to be completed at least three times a week and alongside this we would like the children to use Mathletics and Reading Eggs as much as possible.
PE will be taught by our resident PE expert Dan (Mr. Pringle) every Thursday. Children are expected to arrive in school in their PE kit (School jumper, black tracksuit trousers, a white, crew neck t-shirt and trainers.)
At the moment all trips are on hold - as soon as new guidelines are published we will let you know.
Year 6 Tuition will be starting the week beginning the 21st September on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday where we will be offering extra support with Maths, Reading and Literacy. More details will be coming your way shortly.

We would like wish The Duke of Edinburgh a happy 99th birthday today who is in isolation at Windsor Castle. Buckingham Palace released a new official portrait with the Queen at Windsor Castle to mark the Duke's milestone.

It is mainly celebrated in North America but cities all around the world hold events as a celebration of Latin American culture.
