How do I count a row?
Tap anywhere on the big number. Use −1 or Undo if you tapped by mistake.
Knitting or crochet, rows or rounds?
Choose it for each project when you create or edit it. Purlaine then uses the right words. Rows or rounds is free for everyone.
How does the stopwatch work?
Start it on the counting screen when you begin and pause it anytime. Your time is saved with the project.
Where are the statistics? (Pro)
Open the ⋯ menu on the counting screen. You see time, rows, sessions and days in a row, for one project or all.
What does the lock do?
Open the ⋯ menu on the counting screen and choose "Lock". While locked, tapping doesn't count, so nothing changes in your pocket or on your lap. Tap the lock symbol to unlock. The widget and Siri still count, because that's always on purpose.
What is the stitch reminder?
Got interrupted and forgot whether a knit or purl stitch comes next? Turn on "Stitch reminder" in your project. On the counting screen, tap the small button and choose "Next: knit" or "Next: purl". The reminder stays until you count again.
How do I count with Siri? (Pro)
Say "Add a row in Purlaine". It counts in your active project. Siri and Shortcuts must be allowed for Purlaine in iPhone Settings → Apps → Purlaine → Siri.
How do I count with the Action button? (Pro, iPhone 15 Pro and later)
iPhone Settings → Action Button → swipe to "Shortcut" → choose Purlaine → "Add a row". Now one press counts a row.
How do I add a widget?
Touch and hold your Home Screen → "Edit" → "Add Widget" → search for Purlaine. The free widget shows your row. With Pro you can tap +1 right in the widget and count from the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
What's included for free?
Up to 3 projects in total, one active at a time. Finished and deleted projects count too, so deleting a project doesn't free up a slot. You also get 3 themes (Pearl, Midnight, Cherry), the display widget, the repeat counter, the stopwatch, project details, rows or rounds, notes, photo or icon, the lock and the stitch reminder. Counting is never locked.
Where are my projects stored? Do I keep them on a new iPhone?
Only on your iPhone. There is no account and no server. Your projects are included in your normal iPhone backup (iCloud or computer) and come along when you set up a new iPhone from that backup. If you delete the app without a backup, your projects are gone.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
In Purlaine: Settings → "Restore Purchases". Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Purlaine Pro → Cancel. When Pro ends, nothing is deleted and you can keep counting in all your projects.
How do I get a refund?

Wie zähle ich eine Reihe?
Tippe irgendwo auf die große Zahl. Mit −1 oder Rückgängig korrigierst du einen Fehltipp.
Stricken oder Häkeln, Reihen oder Runden?
Das wählst du für jedes Projekt beim Anlegen oder Bearbeiten. Purlaine nutzt dann die passenden Begriffe. Reihen oder Runden ist für alle gratis.
Wie funktioniert die Stoppuhr?
Starte sie im Zählbildschirm, wenn du loslegst, und pausiere sie jederzeit. Die Zeit wird beim Projekt gespeichert.
Wo finde ich die Statistik? (Pro)
Im ⋯-Menü am Zählbildschirm. Dort siehst du Zeit, Reihen, Sitzungen und Tage in Folge, für ein Projekt oder alle.
Was macht die Zählsperre?
Öffne am Zählbildschirm das ⋯-Menü und wähle „Sperren“. Solange gesperrt ist, zählt Tippen nicht, in der Hosentasche oder auf dem Schoß passiert also nichts. Ein Tipp auf das Schloss hebt die Sperre auf. Widget und Siri zählen trotzdem, weil das immer Absicht ist.
Was ist der Maschen-Merker?
Du wurdest unterbrochen und weißt nicht mehr, ob als Nächstes eine rechte oder linke Masche kommt? Schalte im Projekt den „Maschen-Merker“ ein. Am Zählbildschirm tippst du auf den kleinen Knopf und wählst „Weiter mit rechts“ oder „Weiter mit links“. Der Hinweis bleibt, bis du wieder zählst.
Wie zähle ich mit Siri? (Pro)
Sag „Plus eine Reihe in Purlaine“. Gezählt wird im aktiven Projekt. Siri und Kurzbefehle müssen für Purlaine erlaubt sein: iPhone-Einstellungen → Apps → Purlaine → Siri.
Wie belege ich die Action-Taste? (Pro, ab iPhone 15 Pro)
iPhone-Einstellungen → Action-Taste → zu „Kurzbefehl“ wischen → Purlaine wählen → „Plus eine Reihe“. Dann zählt ein Druck eine Reihe.
Wie füge ich ein Widget hinzu?
Auf dem Home-Bildschirm lange drücken → „Bearbeiten“ → „Widget hinzufügen“ → nach Purlaine suchen. Das Gratis-Widget zeigt deine Reihe an. Mit Pro tippst du +1 direkt im Widget und zählst vom Sperrbildschirm und in der Dynamic Island.
Was ist gratis?
Bis zu 3 Projekte insgesamt, davon eins gleichzeitig aktiv. Fertige und gelöschte Projekte zählen mit, Löschen macht also keinen Platz frei. Außerdem gratis: 3 Farbthemen (Pearl, Midnight, Cherry), das Anzeige-Widget, der Rapportzähler, die Stoppuhr, Projekt-Details, Reihen oder Runden, Notizen, Foto oder Symbol, die Zählsperre und der Maschen-Merker. Das Zählen wird nie gesperrt.
Wo sind meine Projekte gespeichert? Habe ich sie auf einem neuen iPhone?
Nur auf deinem iPhone. Es gibt kein Konto und keinen Server. Deine Projekte sind in deinem normalen iPhone-Backup (iCloud oder Computer) enthalten und kommen mit, wenn du ein neues iPhone aus diesem Backup einrichtest. Löschst du die App ohne Backup, sind die Projekte weg.
Wie stelle ich meinen Kauf auf einem neuen iPhone wieder her?
In Purlaine: Einstellungen → „Käufe wiederherstellen“. Nutze denselben Apple Account wie beim Kauf.
Wie kündige ich mein Abo?
Abos laufen über Apple: iPhone-Einstellungen → dein Name → Abonnements → Purlaine Pro → Kündigen. Wenn Pro endet, wird nichts gelöscht und du kannst in allen Projekten weiterzählen.
