Protecting your private information is our priority. This Privacy Policy applies to the PureSubject mobile application (hereinafter referred to as "the App") and governs data collection and usage.
1. Image Data Processing
On-Device Processing: All images selected or edited within the App are processed exclusively on your local device.
No Cloud Upload: The App does not upload your photos to any external servers. The subject segmentation (background removal) is performed locally using on-device machine learning technology.
Storage: Edited images are only saved to your device's gallery (specifically in the DCIM/PureSubject folder) when you explicitly click the "Save PNG" button.
2. Permissions
To function correctly, the App requires the following permissions:
Storage/Media Access: This is required to load images from your gallery for editing and to save the processed results back to your device.
3. Google ML Kit (AI Segmentation)
The App uses Google’s ML Kit (Subject Segmentation API) to identify and separate subjects from the background.
Image feature processing happens in real-time on your smartphone.
According to Google, this API does not send your image data to Google servers for subject segmentation purposes.
Technical diagnostic data may be transmitted to Google to improve the stability and performance of the API.
4. Third-Party Services (Advertising)
To provide the App free of charge, we use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:
Google AdMob: The App displays banner and interstitial advertisements. AdMob may use advertising IDs and device information to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
Google Play Services: Used for core App functionality and the delivery of AI modules.
5. Local Data (SharedPreferences)
The App stores small data fragments (SharedPreferences) locally on your device. These are used for technical purposes only, such as:
Managing the 24-hour limit for saving images.
Recording timestamps of the last rewarded ad viewed to grant "premium" save access. This data remains on your device and is not shared with us or any third parties.
6. Data Security
We do not use any analytics tools to track your behavior. Since no image data or personal profiles are stored on our servers, there is no risk of a data breach originating from our infrastructure.
7. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
