Data Collection and Usage
Pure Lens is designed with a "local-first" privacy architecture.
User Configurations: The extension allows you to save custom website block lists, focus session parameters, UI theme preferences, and accountability PINs. All of this data is stored strictly on your local device using the secure Chrome Storage API (`chrome.storage.local` or `chrome.storage.sync`).
No Browsing History Logging: While the extension monitors web navigation events to intercept and block sites on your restricted list, it does not track, log, or maintain a history of the websites you visit.
No Personal Data Collection: Pure Lens does not collect, store, or harvest any personal identifiable information (PII) such as your name, browsing habits, or location.
Third-Party Data Transmission
Local Processing: Your block lists and settings are evaluated purely on your local machine. No data regarding your web traffic or extension configurations is ever transmitted, sold, or shared with third-party data brokers or external marketing servers.
Transactional Communications: If you explicitly opt-in to use the send pin to email feature, the extension transmits only the necessary static parameters (email address) via an external API to a custom backend and the Resend email fulfillment service. This data is used solely to deliver transactional alerts and is never utilized for tracking or profiling.
Data Security
Because your data remains localized within your browser profile, its security is protected by Google Chrome's native security sandboxing. We recommend keeping your browser updated to maintain optimal protection.
Changes to Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in extension functionality. Any updates will be posted directly on this page.
