Pure Imagination – A New Musical Revue Rolls into Coleytown Middle School November 16th & November 17th
Pure Imagination is an entertaining musical revue featuring songs from Music Theatre International’s Broadway Junior® collection. From Broadway Junior musicals based on popular titles like Seussical and Shrek The Musical to Disney favorites like Beauty and the Beast and Frozen, Pure Imagination is a unique compilation that promises to delight audiences of all ages.
Launching a new format this fall, the group of professionals leading this production broadened the cast to include students across 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Pure Imagination is designed to welcome both new and experienced students to the magical world of theater. Director Ben Frimmer shares, "I'm always amazed at the talent our Westport students bring to the table. Across all ages, these students light up the stage with their dancing and singing in a way that is not to be missed."
Pure Imagination delivers an impressive showcase of 14 thoughtfully choreographed songs from iconic shows such as Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka and Annie Jr. and starring beloved characters from Junie B. Jones The Musical JR. and Dear Edwina JR.
Get into the holiday spirit with “Sparklejollytwinklejingley” from Elf The Musical JR. Dance along in your seat to “Revolting Children” from Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR. Embrace your childhood with songs from Honk, Jr., Winne the Pooh, Peter Pan JR…and many more.
Mark your calendar to enjoy this family-friendly production and cheer on the amazing cast and crew. Performances are Thursday, November 16 at 6:00 pm and Friday, November 17 at 7:00 pm. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, November 1st.
