How to Play

Getting Started

1. **Choose Your Mode:** Select Timed (30 seconds) or Endless (no timer)

2. **Read the Challenge:** "Tap the ink color, not the word!"

3. **Look at the Word:** A color word appears (like "RED")

4. **Identify the Ink Color:** The word is displayed in a different color

5. **Tap the Correct Button:** Choose the ink color, not what the word says

6. **Build Your Streak:** Get as many correct in a row as possible!

- **Focus on the color, not the word** - Your brain wants to read, but resist!

- **Go with your first instinct** - Overthinking slows you down

- **Use swipe to skip** - Swipe right if you're stuck on a tricky combination

How to Challenge Friends

**Create a Challenge:**

1. Tap the Multiplayer icon on the home screen

2. Tap "New Challenge" button

3. Copy the challenge code

4. Share the code with your friend (text, email, etc.)

**Join a Challenge:**

1. Tap the Multiplayer icon

2. Tap "Join" button

3. Paste the challenge code

4. Start playing!

**View Results:**

- Both players complete the same challenge

- Scores are compared automatically

- Winner is determined by highest score

- View detailed results including accuracy

**Q: Is Stroop Challenge free?**

A: Yes! Stroop Challenge is completely free with no ads or in-app purchases.

**Q: How does the adaptive difficulty work?**

A: The game monitors your accuracy and adjusts the speed automatically. If you're making mistakes, it slows down. If you're doing well, it speeds up for maximum challenge.

**Q: What is color blind mode?**

A: Color blind mode adds shape icons (●, ■, ▲) to each color button so colors are distinguishable by shape. Tap the help icon (?) during gameplay to see which shapes represent which colors.

- Ensure the entire code is copied correctly (no spaces)

- Challenge may have already been accepted by someone else

- Challenge creator may have deleted it

**Game Center not syncing:**

- Open Settings → Game Center and sign in

- Leaderboards and some achievements require Game Center

**App crashing:**

- Update to the latest version from the App Store
