This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the PureErase: AI Object Remover mobile application and supplements the general JanoGroup LLC Privacy Policy. By using PureErase, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Introduction
JanoGroup LLC develops and publishes mobile applications that use artificial intelligence and other technologies to provide utility-based features. PureErase is a photo editing app that uses AI to remove objects and backgrounds from images.
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and the choices available to you.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Photos and Images
When you use the object eraser or background removal features, the app accesses your device camera or photo library so you can capture or select a photo to edit.
That image is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to the Replicate API, operated by Replicate, Inc., in order to perform the requested AI-powered edit, such as removing an object or isolating a subject.
JanoGroup LLC does not store or retain your photos after the processing request is completed. The edited result returned by the AI is displayed within the app and may be saved to your device only at your explicit request.
Camera and photo library permissions are requested only when you initiate a photo edit. You may deny these permissions, but doing so will disable the core editing features of the app.
2.2 App Preferences and Settings
The app may store certain preferences locally on your device, including brush size settings and editor state. This information is used solely to provide a consistent in-app experience and is not transmitted to our servers.
2.3 Subscription and Entitlement Data
Basic subscription status information is managed through RevenueCat and stored locally on your device to determine which features are available to you. This data is not used for advertising or profiling.
2.4 Anonymous Usage Data
We may collect aggregated, non-personal usage data to improve app performance and reliability. This may include app launch frequency, session duration, feature usage patterns, crash reports, and performance diagnostics.
This information is anonymized and is not used to identify you personally.
3. Third-Party Services
PureErase uses certain third-party services to operate app features.
We use the Replicate API for AI-powered object removal and background removal. This involves transmitting photos you submit for editing to Replicate's servers for processing.
We use RevenueCat for subscription and purchase management. We do not share photo data with RevenueCat.
No third party is permitted by us to use your photos for its own unrelated purposes. Photos sent to Replicate are processed only to perform the editing action you requested.
4. How We Use Your Data
Data collected by PureErase is used solely for the following purposes:
- Performing AI-powered object removal and background removal on photos you submit
- Displaying edited results within the app
- Managing your subscription status and feature access
- Improving app performance and reliability through anonymized diagnostics
We do not use your photos or data for advertising targeting, profiling, sale to data brokers or advertisers, training AI models, or any purpose unrelated to the app's core functionality described in this Privacy Policy.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Photos submitted for editing are transmitted to Replicate for processing and are not stored by JanoGroup LLC after processing is completed. Edited results are returned to your device and saved to your photo library only if you choose to save them.
App preferences and subscription status data are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data from your device.
JanoGroup LLC does not store your photos or personal data on its own servers.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Data sent to third-party services is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections. Information stored on your device remains within your device's secure app sandbox. We limit cloud exposure by sending photos only when needed to perform an AI editing action.
The app does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or password in order for you to use PureErase.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We encourage you to protect your device with a passcode, password, or biometric security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You may revoke camera or photo library permissions at any time in your device settings. This will disable photo import features but will not affect any photos already saved to your library.
You are not required to submit any photo. All editing features are initiated by you voluntarily.
Because no personal data is stored on our servers, there is no account data to request or delete. Any locally stored preferences can be removed by uninstalling the app.
8. Children's Privacy
PureErase is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app and submitted personal data, please contact us at janogroupllc@gmail.com so we can address the issue.
9. Disclaimer
PureErase provides AI-powered photo editing for general utility and creative purposes. Results generated by the app are produced by third-party AI models and may not always be accurate or complete. We do not guarantee the quality or accuracy of AI-generated edits.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
