PurchaseMinder (the “App”) helps users manage warranty and return deadlines and proof of purchase. The App is designed around the principle that user data should remain on the user’s device.
Purchase information handled by the App is stored only on your device. It is not automatically sent to developer servers or cloud storage. No account registration is required.
The following information is stored in the on-device database and files and is not sent to developer servers:
Product name and retailer
Purchase date, warranty deadline, and return deadline
Model number, serial number, and notes
Attached images such as receipts and warranty documents
Support URLs, phone numbers, email addresses, and case numbers
Subscription service name and billing route
Text extracted by the optical character recognition (OCR) feature
To improve the App, we collect anonymous usage analytics. The data contains only the fact that an action occurred and non-identifying counts or flags.
List viewed: number of active and expired items
Item added: whether an image was attached, whether a return deadline was entered, and the number of notification settings
Item deleted: whether an image had been attached
Attachment viewed: the action only
Proof shared: whether an image was included
Image import: image category, number of candidates extracted, and whether a candidate was selected
Pro feature prompt shown: the action that triggered the prompt
Pro purchased: product identifier only; the price is not included
Purchase restored: the action only
Backup created: number of records and attached images
Cancellation guidance used: billing-route category such as App Store or official website
Product names, retailers, model and serial numbers, notes, URLs, phone numbers, email addresses, dates, images, and OCR-extracted text are never included in analytics.
We use PostHog (PostHog Inc., United States) to collect usage analytics. When events are sent, PostHog may record a randomly generated device identifier (anonymous ID), operating system and version, App version, device language, and the IP address from which the request is made.
The anonymous ID is generated by the App and stored in a file on the device. It is not linked to a name, email address, or advertising ID. The App does not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking and does not sell it to third parties.
Photo library: to attach images such as receipts or warranty documents and to read purchase-information candidates from screenshots
Camera: to photograph receipts or warranty documents and scan QR codes
Notifications: to remind you when warranty or return deadlines are approaching
These features are used only when you initiate the relevant action. The App does not read photos or screens in the background. If you deny notification permission, all non-notification features remain available.
Text recognition is processed only through on-device operating-system features (Apple-provided text recognition on iOS and Google Play services text recognition on Android). Images and extracted text are not sent to external servers.
Results are presented as suggestions. Information is saved only after you select and review it; it is never saved automatically without confirmation.
The App offers “PurchaseMinder Pro” as a one-time purchase. It is not a monthly or annual subscription.
Payments are processed by the App Store or Google Play. The developer does not receive credit card numbers or other payment details.
RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States) is used to manage purchase status. When a purchase is made or restored, a randomly generated App identifier and store-issued purchase information, such as product type and purchase date, are sent to RevenueCat. Names, email addresses, and payment methods are not included.
The fact that a purchase or restoration occurred is also recorded in anonymous analytics. Only the product identifier is recorded; price and identifying information are not included.
Records you already created remain available to view and edit even without Pro.
The backup feature exports saved data and attached images into a single file. The file is written only to a location you choose, such as the Files app or iCloud Drive on iOS, a selected Android folder, or another app through the system share sheet. It is not automatically uploaded to developer servers.
If you save a backup to a third-party service such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive, that service’s privacy policy governs its handling of the file.
Deleting the App removes all locally stored data, including the database and attached images, from the device. Individual items can be deleted from their details screens.

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If this policy changes, this page and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Important changes will also be described in App update information.
When you use our contact form (Google Forms), you submit the following information:
Your email address for replies
Your inquiry
Your device model, operating system version, and App version
If you open the form from Settings → Contact in the App, the device model, OS version, and App version are prefilled. You can edit or delete this information before submitting the form.
The automatically entered device model is the type of device, such as “iPhone 15.” The App does not access or submit a custom device name such as “John’s iPhone.”
We use the information only to respond to your inquiry and investigate reported issues. Form responses are stored using services provided by Google LLC.
You do not need to submit registered product names, retailers, model numbers, or similar purchase information. This information remains only on your device and cannot be accessed by the developer.
