The Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) is concerned with the non-academic experiences of students to attain total student development (Article III Sec 6), that is, those experiences contributory to student welfare and development.
Vision: A haven of student-centered activities and services intended to facilitate holistic student development to enable them to participate actively in nation building.
Mission: To produce morally upright and productive citizens ready and capable to help attain the aims of the country and of humanity.
The OSAS aids and support programs that are concerned with non-academic experiences of students to facilitate their holistic development. It envisions to institutionalize the autonomy of students and student organizations and to afford the students with the widest latitude of responsible and responsive freedom.
1. To develop programs that make students understand the elements in ideal learning environment by strengthening the cooperation and understanding among different learning components.
2. To provide educational environment holistic and contributory to value formation.
3. To provide venues for the advanced students and those who excel already to improve their intellectual capabilities and potentials.
4. To improve the delivery system of service and undertake innovations and reforms base on the analysis of the merging needs and demands of the students.
5. To define the present needs of the students and responses appropriate to them.
6. To initiate remedial program/educational activities for those who for whatever reason need remedial education.
7. To strengthen students’ spirit of volunteerism.
8. To evaluate, improve or revise guidelines and policies in the delivery of the services to the students.
9. To allocate/assign a decisive advice to student services in defining the criteria for scholarship.
10. To define and assign the reasonable amount of workload of the student personnel to be accomplished/fulfilled/undertaken in a given time frame.
11. To have a periodic performances assessment of student personnel to identify achievement difficulties and problem areas in implementing programs for student services.
12. To provide better materials/facilities and infrastructure needed to achieve efficient services.
13. To upgrade and develop capabilities of student personnel.
14. To build a team for more progressive, cost effective, out-put oriented and productive student personnel.
15. To develop student’s entrepreneurship attitude by conducting activities that will enhance their entrepreneurship skills.
