One of the most important divisions of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines is the College of Tourism, Hospitality and Transportation Management. The University's initiative to transform itself into a National Polytechnic University serves as the foundation for its vision and goal.
The College supports President Manuel M. Muhi's efforts to implement systematic transformations through the 10-Pillars reform agenda that are intended to improve the University's capacity to respond to national demands by providing quality education and producing outstanding graduates in this era of regional economic integration in Southeast Asia, aware of the role it plays in the realization of the University's noble intent.
The College is confident in the commitment of its team of outstanding and highly qualified full-time and part-time faculty members to exposing students to a culture of learning and achievement in the tourism, hospitality, and transportation sectors guided by the College’s principle of “SIPAG, GALING, AT TALINO. MAY PUSONG NAGMAMAHAL SA PAMANA NG LAHI, KASAYSAYAN, AT KALIKASAN.”
Message of QAC and OJT Coordinator
As the Quality Assurance Coordinator and OJT Coordinator, my tasks must ensure quality as my designation mandates. The BSTM, BSHM, and BSTRM programs at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines commit to producing graduates who remain the most preferred locally and internationally. In doing so, we make sure that the culture of quality consistently adheres to President Muhi's Vision of becoming a National Polytechnic.
We put at the forefront of our quality practices the areas of research, teaching and learning, community service, internationalization, and the planning process. Our curriculum remains in sync with the needs of the times to enable our students to acquire 21st-century skills in learning, literacy, and life skills. Our faculty members keep abreast of training, research, internationalization, and collaboration to make teaching skills relevant in a changing world.
Research is soaring into becoming collaborative, utilized, and shared. Internships of students serve as their gateway for enriching career and entrepreneurial opportunities. To ensure quality, the program complies with program accreditation, now on its way to 4th level.
A periodic curriculum assessment with a Government-Industry-Academe Board, alumni, and industry feedback exists. We are dedicated to producing graduates not as mere service workers but as responsible entrepreneurs, innovative game changers, recognized industry experts, and excellent service professionals. Basta PUP - CTHTM, tatak ng sipag, talino at galing.
