The Department of Cooperatives & Social Development functions on instruction are carried-out through the following components and accompanying tasks. Several projects and activities which are relevant and adequate to achieve program objectives are as follows:
A. Curriculum Development & Instruction
Periodic review/revision/enhancement of curricula and course syllabi
Ensuring that curricula conform with CHED and University requirements
Development and utilization of instructional materials, library, and other tools of instruction
Implementation of policies, rules and regulations regarding teaching assignment, attendance, classroom management, etc.
B. Faculty Development
Conduct of regular performance monitoring and evaluation
Planning and implementation of faculty development program such as study grants/aids, scholarships, training and seminars, etc.
Support to faculty involvement in Extension and Research programs, projects and tasks of the Department.
C. Student Development & Support Services
Ensuring provision of conducive learning environment and maintaining of attrition at minimal level.
Encouraging student involvement in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Providing/mobilizing various forms of assistance such as scholarships, support to student organizations, student assistanceship, publications, guidance, etc.
D. Administrative Support Services
Coordination/making proper endorsement of student needs with concerned units in the University and/or outside groups.
Attending to enrollment and graduation requirements.
Attending to needs/problems of students such as those related to attendance, school records, grades and counseling.
Communications and information dissemination among faculty and students.
Documentation, records management and reporting requirements support.
