App Name: Punzle – The Daily Puzzle Game
Developer: Wisconsin Dales Creations
Contact: wisconsindales@gmail.com
Effective Date: Oct 10, 2026
Overview
Punzle is a daily block puzzle calendar game. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information We Collect
Punzle collects only the minimum information necessary to operate the leaderboard feature:
- Display name: When you complete a puzzle, you may optionally enter a name to appear on the leaderboard. This name is stored on our servers and visible to other players.
- Puzzle completion time: Your time to complete the daily puzzle is recorded alongside your display name on the leaderboard.
- Date of completion: The date on which you completed the puzzle is recorded.
On National Punzle Day (June 7), Punzle records anonymous usage: whether you accept or decline the challenge, and whether you solve it and how long it took. This is linked only to a randomly generated ID stored on your device. It contains no name, email or other personal information.
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personal information.
How We Use Your Information
The information collected is used solely to:
- Display your chosen name and completion time on the public daily leaderboard
- Allow you to compare your performance with other players
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purpose.
Data Storage
Leaderboard data and National Punzle Day is stored securely using Google Firebase, a cloud platform provided by Google LLC. Firebase may store data on servers located in the United States or other countries. You can learn more about Firebase's data practices at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your information with third parties, except as required by law or as necessary to operate the Firebase service described above. Leaderboard names and times are visible to all users of the app.
Advertising
Punzle contains no advertisements. We do not work with any advertising networks or use any advertising SDKs.
Children's Privacy
Punzle is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 beyond the optional display name entered on the leaderboard. If you believe a child has submitted inappropriate information, please contact us at wisconsindales@gmail.com and we will remove it promptly.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request removal of your leaderboard entry at any time by contacting us
- Ask what data we hold associated with your submitted name
Records from National Punzle Day are anonymous and are not linked to your name or leaderboard entry, so they cannot be looked up or removed individually.
To exercise these rights, contact us at wisconsindales@gmail.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
