Last week the children from "පුංචි අපේ චිත්‍ර පන්තිය" learned how to draw our Lord Buddha from their talented teacher Asanga mama so, for their assignment they had to finish or draw a new drawing of our Lord Buddha.

Asanga mama taught the kids from "පුංචි අපේ චිත්‍ර පන්තිය" how to mix modern designs and traditional designs to create beautiful artworks. Since the Vesak celebration is coming very soon the young artists were told to create a vesak lantern for their assignment using the designs they learned.

The children from "පුංචි අපේ චිත්‍ර පන්තිය" are learning art techniques for using coloured pencils. This week their assignment was to use only one pencil colour to make a beautiful artwork.

Now that the kids from "පුංචි අපේ චිත්‍ර පන්තිය" have learned some more techniques of using watercolours for their assignment they painted watercolour flower baskets.

Since this week we all celebrated awrudhu, for their assignment they were told to draw anything related to Sinhala Aluth Awrudha.

Our talented kids have learnt many techniques for drawing a face and this time for their assignment they were told to draw a face but half the face a male and the other half a female face.

After learning the techniques of drawing sunset/sunrise. The kids had to make a moonrise scene for their assignment.

Asanga mama, our super talented art class teacher has taught the children many things, drawing faces, drawing faces sideways, blending colours and many designs. With all these techniques the children learned to draw a sun and a moon last class. So for their assignment they have to make a Sinhala new year card with all the things they learned.

After learning the techniques of drawing and coloring a face the children of the art class learned a cool trick. Drawing a face sideways from a question mark. So their assignment for the week is to use that trick to draw a face sideways.

This week the children learned how to draw a mouth, ear and nose. Now that the children from "පුංචි අපේ චිත්‍ර පන්තිය" have learnt how to draw all the different parts of the face for their assignment this week they drew a face!

Since last week they drew an eye. Their assignment this week is to draw a mouth. Next week they will learn the techniques of drawing a mouth.
