6 Easy Steps to Remove Calcium Buildup

6 Easy Steps to Remove Calcium Buildup

Calcium buildup, often referred to as limescale, comes from water that contains dissolved calcium salts. While this water doesn’t exactly cause an issue itself, the calcium buildup is unsightly and can lead to your sink having a slower flow than it should.

There are calcium chemicals available at most home stores, but the organic solution works just as effectively and saves your family from inhaling toxins.

Supplies needed:

    • Paper towels or rags
    • White vinegar
    • Magic eraser (optional)

6 Steps:

    1. Wash faucet with soap, water, and sponge to remove any leftover debris or grime.
    2. Thoroughly drench your paper towel or rag in your white vinegar.
    3. Wrap the rag/paper towel around the affected faucet. If you are using thin paper towels, wrap at least two layers around the faucet.
    4. Secure rag/paper towels with rubber bands.
    5. Let sit for at least 1 hour.
    6. After an hour, remove cloths and rinse faucet. If any residue remains, use magic eraser to leave the faucet sparkly clean.

Voila! Enjoy your sparkling, flowing faucet.
