The Southern Leyte State University – Maasin City Campus proudly sent its talented and passionate delegates to compete in this year’s University Cultural and Arts Festival (U-CAF) 2025 held at SLSU Main Campus on November 19, 2025. The annual event brought together the best artists, performers, and creative minds from across all SLSU campuses, providing a vibrant stage where skills, culture, and artistic expression were celebrated. With determination, discipline, and school pride, the Maasin City Campus representatives showcased not only their individual talents but also the rich creative spirit of the campus community.

VISUAL ARTS COMPETITION
The campus’ visual artists embodied creativity, passion, and originality as they represented Maasin City Campus in the following categories:

Pencil Drawing: Annika Ponce
Charcoal Rendering: Samantha Angel Samaco

Guided and trained by their coach, Mr. Nonito A. Deligero Jr., the visual arts delegates poured many hours of preparation into producing artworks that reflect identity, culture, and imagination—turning their canvases and lenses into powerful forms of expression.
VOCAL SOLO AND DUET COMPETITION
Showcasing musical artistry, vocal techniques, and soulful performances, the Maasin City Campus singers gave heartfelt renditions in various vocal categories:
Pop Solo: Mayjoy Cadavos
Vocal Solo – Kundiman: Jamel Goyo
Vocal Duet: Marienell Estrera and Welzon Olacao
Under the committed guidance of Mr. Aris Rex Espinas, the vocal performers, impressed audiences through their mastery of tone, emotion, and artistry—bringing pride to the campus with each note sung.
