Fulfilling its commitment to open governance and student engagement, the Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Southern Leyte State University - Maasin City Campus (SLSU-MCC) hosted its 1st General Student Assembly at the campus quadrangle on September 9, 2026.

The assembly began with a welcome message from SSC Adviser Trisha Mae B. Llagas, who reminded attendees, “The SSC is here to serve you, not to dictate you.” Hon. Sharmee Laurea followed with the Statement of Purpose, after which Hon. Angelo H. Alico, Hon. Eunice V. Villamor, Hon. Gelian Torotoro, and Hon. Ederlina Costillas presented the SSC Constitution and By-Laws.

To highlight the council’s transparency, Llagas presented the Accomplishment Report. She showcased achievements such as the SSC's partnership with the Rotaract Club for leadership and safe dialogue initiatives, as well as the Excellence in Sustainable Enterprise and Resource Generation Award for the council's Printing Services Project. Hon. Mariel L. Integro then delivered the Financial Statement, while Hon. Rommel O. Oliva outlined the upcoming events for the academic year through the Calendar of Activities.

Additionally, Hon. Samantha Kea Compesino discussed the guidelines for student community service, including attendance policies and penalty hours, and Engr. Maria Dulce S. Gonzales shared updates from the Registrar's Office.
