On September 26, 2024, the Southern Leyte State University-Maasin City Campus participated in the 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today at 9 AM. The event engaged faculty, staff, and students in essential emergency response procedures.
Participants practiced the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” method, a crucial technique for protecting oneself during an earthquake. Additionally, a mandatory headcount was conducted to ensure everyone’s safety and accountability during the drill.
The university emphasized the importance of familiarizing all members with designated evacuation routes and assembly areas on campus. This initiative reflects the institution's ongoing commitment to safety and preparedness in the face of potential emergencies.
