Southern Leyte State University Maasin City Campus (SLSU-MCC) held its 2nd General Students' Assembly on February 5, 2025, at the Quadrangle. Organized by the Supreme Student Council (SSC), the event provided updates on financial matters, accomplishments, and upcoming activities. SSC Vice President Selene Tagra welcomed students and introduced the agenda, which included financial and accomplishment reports, donations, and plans for Campus Day.
SSC President Hon. Wilson Lecaros presented the accomplishment report covering from August to December 2024, showcasing events such as the Freshmen Welcome, Student Orientation, Acquaintance Party and Turnover Ceremony, Panagsangka 2024, a consultation meeting with FSSC, Teacher’s Day, U-Games, a coastal cleanup drive, the Special General Students Assembly, Student’s Day, and a tree-planting activity.
The SSC Treasurer detailed the financial report, while the SSC Senate President shared updates on community service and donation efforts. The SSC Adviser announced activities for Campus Day on March 3, 2025, featuring a Fun Run, Quiz Bee, and traditional Filipino games.
The assembly concluded with an open forum, allowing students to raise concerns and suggestions. In his closing remarks, SSC President Lecaros encouraged active student participation. The event reinforced the SSC’s commitment to transparency, engagement, and fostering a vibrant campus community.
