Southern Leyte State University-Maasin City Campus celebrated the 20th Anniversary of Southern Leyte State University with the theme " SLSyoU @20: Two Decades of Transforming Lives, Nurturing Minds, and Fostering Sustainable World", yesterday at SLSU-MCC Quadrangle. 

The event started at 4:30 in the morning with a 5-kilometer fun run participated by the students and the SLSU-MCC faculty and staff. Afterward, a Zumba dance was led by student body officials. A mass was held at Maasin City Cathedral, it was followed by the opening of booths and the commencement of several activities. Students faculty and staff showcased their skills as they competed in different sports such as volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and chess. An academic competition consisting of debate, quiz bee, and researchlymphic was participated by both the Social Work and Public Administration Departments. 

The last activity before the awarding ceremony was the campus concert with  SLSU-MCC Band serenades the crowd.
