NSTP-CWTS Conducts an Orientation and Workshop on Crafting a Proposal
The NSTP-CWTS conducts an Orientation and Workshop on Crafting a Proposal on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. This activity aims to enhance and strengthen student’s capacity in project proposal making, especially the basic parts including the rationale, objectives, target beneficiaries, activities, timeline and budget. This is to acknowledge that the students are future professionals—therefore, they must be equipped with knowledge and skills in making these types of documents.
In line with the NSTP-CWTS’ mission, vision, goals, and objectives, the students are expected to apply their proposed projects in the communities, fostering civic engagement and promoting sustainable development.
Spearheaded by the SLSU-MCC NSTP Coordinator, Dr. Lucia Estella Grace A. Abaa, RSW., the activity started with preliminaries and refreshment on NSTP Goals, Objectives, and Core Values. The activity then proceeded on discussing the important notes of each parts of the project proposal, emphasizing gender sensitivity in crafting projects. This was led by the NSTP-CWTS Facilitators: Junelen G. Inting, Dr. Jahara Q. Napalla, and Mariecar R. Paloma respectively. As the workshop concluded, students proceeded with tidying up the PE Hall and the Audio Visual Room (AVR).
Overall, the workshop allowed the students to learn why planning is important as part of crafting their project proposals to ensure successful deliverance of their respective activities to be conducted. With proper and sufficient knowledge, teamwork, and responsibility, students are now prepared in creating organized and meaningful NSTP-CWTS activities which makes the workshop successfully conducted.
