Panagsangka 2024 is here! Today, the 16th of September 2024, is the beginning of our much-awaited intramural meet here on Southern Leyte State University-Maasin City Campus.
No rain on our parade but let the heat of the feat makeup for the sun's absence as the corners and alleys of Maasin City were enshrouded by the cheers of each faction. With the helping hand of the Karancho Maasin City Chapter, the parade smoothly and safely moved all over the city.
‘Grabe ang atong pag-prepare. Show us what you've got but also show us a friendly competition!’ noted Mrs. Aster Lyn Reoma, Students and Auxiliary Services (SAS) as she welcomed the Mighty Kingfishers of Maasin City Campus in the Intramural Meet 2024.
The lighting of the friendship urn—headed by our resident varsity athlete, Ms. Charismae Peras— signaled the official opening of the Panagsangka 2024. We were all enticed on our feet by the breathtaking opening. From the friendship urn to the raising of the team flags, the balloons that suddenly floated in the air, and the pieces of sparkles that illuminated this fantastic morning. We were all in awe as our heads were raised at the sight that fueled each of us with vigor and excitement.
‘While victory is sweet, what matters is the enjoyment as we compete’ Mrs. Maria Donna Jacobe, Head of the Administrative Office added during the oath-taking of the officials and athletes. It reminded of that though this is a competition, and we are here to win; we are also here to cheer and have fun.
With that thought, the Cheer Battle and Mass Dance Competition began with a bang! The yells from the Cheer Battle introduced how ready both teams were.
Behind these exquisite performances are the initiatives of General Athletic Managers from both factions Ms. Charismae Peras of the Flying Hawks, and Mr. Jon Rhobel Galleon of the Soaring Falcons. Watch out for their accounts and fervor in the Pulse Check In.
Their readiness and preparations took everyone aback. It's a fact that the first day of this week-long meeting painted our expectations darker, making our appetite hungry.
