At the 2024 U-Games, which were hosted at the Multi-Purpose Court of SLSU Main Campus, Maasin City Campus's Charismae Peras won the gold medal in Badminton Singles Bracket D Women’s Division in an incredible demonstration of ability and perseverance. Charismae put on an incredible display in the final match against the Main Campus, defeating them by a commanding 41 to 24 after competing against opponents from six other campuses. Her position as one of the finest in the sport was cemented with her triumph, which not only earned her the gold but also guaranteed her a desired spot in the next SCUAA 2024 competition.
Charismae's relentless concentration and smart court strategy were hallmarks of her ascent to the top. She outmanoeuvred her opponents with exact precision throughout the event by showcasing her quickness and shot placement. She dominated the game with strong smashes and judicious drop shots in the last match, which was a great credit to her diligence. Charismae's accomplishment was greatly aided by her colleagues' encouragement. The Maasin City Campus atheletes came together in support of her, fostering a supportive and friendly environment. Their steadfast faith in her skills gave her confidence and motivated her to give her best effort.
In addition to being a noteworthy personal accomplishment, winning the gold medal entitles her to compete in the SCUAA 2024 event, solidifying her place as a budding badminton athlete.
