On February 21, 2024, the campus director of SLSU-MCC, Dr. Frederick C. Aniga, gladly announced the campus’ ownership of the 7-hectare land.
All faculty staff, including selected students to represent the school, attended the campus site-visit in Tam-is, Maasin City, Southern Leyte. The unravelling of the first milestone left them astonished as they look at the ongoing construction site. The campus director was full of enthusiasm as he promised the immediate transformation of the new SLSU-MCC campus site which will soon rise in Tam-is, Maasin City leaving all the faculty, students and staff optimistic for the better tomorrow of the campus.
As they explore the site, the enthusiasm was evident in everyone’s eyes which was a sign of certainty and confidence that this new chapter of the campus will bring massive changes and improvement that will benefit the university especially the students. This first step of our milestone is a promise that our university will not stop striving for the betterment of our future. It is a promise that whatever stumbling block that the campus will face, it will not stop seeking for opportunities to prosper as one.
