June 2, 2025 – The Southern Leyte State University Maasin City Campus (SLSU-MCC) held its Baccalaureate Mass at the Maasin Cathedral, honoring the graduating students of Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Bachelor of Public Administration.
The solemn celebration gathered soon-to-be graduates, their proud families, faculty members, and staff in a moment of reflection, gratitude, and prayer as they marked the end of their academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter.
Presided by Fr. Oliver, the Mass emphasized purpose, service, and the importance of compassion in public service and community work. Students were also reminded of their responsibility as future professionals molded by both academic knowledge and moral grounding.
The Baccalaureate Mass served not only as a tradition but as a symbolic send-off, rooting the graduates’ aspirations in faith and the values instilled by the university.
