Maasin City, August 20, 2025 — With the thrilling spirit of adventure in the air, Southern Leyte State University Maasin Campus officially welcomed Academic Year 2025 with its highly anticipated Acquaintance Party, held under the electrifying theme “JUMANJI: Wild, Fearless, and Unforgettable.” The night was a vibrant celebration of unity, courage, and community—setting the tone for a school year brimming with bold beginnings and boundless energy.

The adventure began with a lively dinner hosted on the campus grounds, where students, faculty, and staff gathered under festively lit tents that echoed the wild ambiance of the jungle. Representatives from key organizations—including the Supreme Student Council (SSC), Circle of the Public Administration Students (CPAS), Junior Social Workers Association of the Philippines – Maasin Chapter (JSWAP), The School Publication PULSE, Peer Facilitators, Interfaith Organization, and EDEO—were sworn in. With hands raised and hearts resolute, they pledged to lead with courage, compassion, and a fierce commitment to excellence.

As the night unfolded, the program was ignited by a series of intermission numbers that captivated the crowd. Without the pressure of competition, performers unleashed their creativity through powerful dance routines, and soulful songs—each one a testament to the raw talent and fearless spirit of SLSU Maasin students.
