We are currently accepting PULSE high school chapter applications and PULSE Board/Collaborator Applications! If you are interested, click the button.
A: PULSE stands for Physics Understanding, Learning, and Student Exploration. We are an international, student-run organization dedicated to building a global network of high school physics clubs that bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional scientific careers.
A: Any high school student, teacher, or educational administrator worldwide can apply to start a chapter. No prior advanced physics background is required—only curiosity and a passion for science.
A: No. Registering a chapter and participating in the global PULSE network is completely free for all schools.
A: We provide open-access resources to all chapters through our Resources page. Currently, we have a speaker database, worksheets, lesson plans, chapter guidelines/information, etc. More resources are still yet to be added. For other opportunities like Events or Internships, please check their respective pages. Some of these resources are still yet to be compiled and added, so stay tuned to our website.
A: We host virtual guest lectures, panel discussions, and networking events featuring working physicists, researchers, and engineers from academia, industry, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). For more information, visit our Events page.
A: Educators can get involved by serving as a faculty advisor for a new or existing student chapter at their high school, ensuring the club has official school backing. Additionally, educators can participate in our global teacher network to share lesson plans, collaborate on physics curriculum enhancements, or volunteer as speakers/mentors for regional PULSE events. Educators can also help advise the national organization. If you are interested, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/BRZybKoqFyqqeNQe8
A: We would love to have scientists inspire the next generation by providing their contact information to clubs to be invited for guest speaking sessions. If you are interested in becoming a speaker, please go to our Become a Speaker page.
A: There are many ways for you to get involved. If you want to join a PULSE chapter, feel free to find a chapter near you. If there is no PULSE chapter at your school, feel free to create one by visiting the Create a Chapter page. If you want to join our leadership team, contact pulseglobaledu@gmail.com
A: If you want to partner with us or learn more about our organization, feel free to Contact Us or visit the Become an Advisor/Collaborator page. To contact us, feel free to also email pulseglobaledu@gmail.com.
A: You can visit the Contact Us page or email us at pulseglobaledu@gmail.com
A: Fill out our official Chapter Registration Form found on our website. You will need to secure a faculty advisor (any teacher; does not have to be STEM-related) and recruit a group of students. After we review your application, we will send you information about next steps.
