Chapter 1: A Meeting

Two men in robes gather around a fire. The men are inside of a wet, moist, and humid cave. Old and dusty with spiderwebs all over the walls and ceiling. In their hands are daggers, steel daggers drenched in blood, but somehow remarkably clean. In between the two men is a circle of stones. Sharp ones, jagged ones, slim ones, thick ones, smooth ones, all sorts of rocks. Two more men join the circle, and one of them grabs a finger to prick a droplet of blood. The blood falls in the middle of the circle and a fire is lit ablaze from the center, it spreads down the cracks in the ground but never passes the circle of stones. The men begin to chant, attempting to summon an ancient god, each of them dropping more and more blood into the fire until the fire eventually dies out, and the men sit there in silence waiting for their god to arrive.
