Adults of all dance skills and abilities are welcome to the Pullen Park community dance. We dance to a variety of rhythms, including salsa, cha-cha-cha, rumba, east- and west-coast swing, foxtrot, waltz…well, you get the picture. No partner required!
A line dance is often taught during the band’s break. If you know a line dance, or another dance rhythm you’d like to share, come show us. We’ll give you our special “adjunct instructor’s discount.” (Just kidding about the discount, but you’ll always find a hot cup of coffee, snacks and interesting conversation in addition to great music and dancing.)
Attendees enjoy live music and dancing, and new visitors will discover a community of friendly people to dance and converse with. If you’re just learning ballroom dance, this is a great place to learn and practice as we regularly offer dance instruction. If you’re a seasoned dancer, you’ll love the raised, hardwood dance floor.

The Pullen Community Center dance floor is a rare gem for our dance community and a proud landmark in the long history of social dancing in the city of Raleigh. It's a beautifully designed and professionally built raised hardwood floor that is comfortable to dance on. The floor is very spacious and can accommodate a large group of dancers. The dimensions are 42 ft. by 28 ft.
