Prayer Prompts (Ideas)
Isaiah 64:1,2
1 Oh, that you would rend the heavens!
That you would come down!
That the mountains might shake at Your presence -
2 As fire burns brushwood,
As fire causes water to boil -
To make Your presence known to Your adversaries,
That the nations may tremble at Your presence!
Pray using the the following starters
1. Thank you, Father, that you loved us enough to create the world for us, to send
your Son to pay for us, and to send your Holy Spirit to bring us Truth. You are so
wonderful! May your Holy Spirit ignite my life with your joy, peace, and power.
Make me an instrument of your peace that all people will look to you, desire you,
and come to know You. Revive us, Lord, that we might live with You forever.
2. “His name is Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! To heal the broken hearts, and to open the
prison doors. He is able to deliver evermore!” ref Luke 4:18
3. We pray to open the doors and bring your lost sheep home, to hear their
master’s voice.
4. We pray to heal the pain, conflict and apathy of our nation, to stand for freedom
and support our leaders to hear the Holy Spirit speaking and directing them to
lead.
5. Oh, Lord, I repent, we repent of our many sins, some personal, some
governmental. Please forgive our nation for forgetting our Christian foundation
and bring us back to our One Nation, Under God.
6. So we pray for REVIVAL, that You would rend the heavens and send Your Holy
Spirit into the hearts of the people who are reading your word and within the
sound of our voices hearing Your word.
7. Oh Lord! Send revival in our day. Oh, that You would rend the heavens and
come down! Let your Holy Spirit wash over us with joy! Cleanse our city, tear
down the idols. We decree and declare that every stronghold of poverty, racism
and division be broken off our city in the Name of Jesus. Your kingdom, come.
Your will be done in our city, our state, and our nation.
8. Forgive us, oh, Lord, for our lukewarmness, our selfishness, and our greed.
9. Create in us clean hearts, Oh Lord. Renew a right Spirit in us. In Jesus name,
we pray. Psalm 51:10
