Hi, I'm Beth.
I'm a Registered Nurse, Certified Case Manager, and Public Health professional with more than 30 years of experience helping improve health outcomes through clinical care, population health, education, and evidence-based practice.
Throughout my career, I've worked across primary care, long-term care, home health, and managed care, supporting patients with complex health needs while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve quality, reduce health disparities, and strengthen community health.
Today, my work focuses on the intersection of healthcare and public health. I enjoy researching complex public health issues, translating scientific evidence into accessible educational resources, and creating practical tools that help individuals, healthcare professionals, and communities make informed decisions.
My professional interests include healthcare epidemiology, infection prevention, population health, environmental and climate health, health equity, emergency preparedness, healthcare quality improvement, and health communication.

PDSA Environmental Health
I designed and implemented an eight-week Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) quality improvement project to increase public awareness of environmental health through evidence-based education on LinkedIn. The campaign translated complex public health and environmental science topics into accessible, plain-language content for healthcare professionals, community members, students, and public health advocates.
The project included the development and publication of eight educational posts, seven original infographics, two LinkedIn newsletters, and one policy brief covering topics such as environmental health, climate change and human health, extreme heat, air quality, vector-borne diseases, environmental justice, and community climate resilience.
Campaign outcomes demonstrated meaningful audience engagement, generating approximately 2,100 post impressions, reaching more than 1,300 LinkedIn members, gaining 25 new followers, and achieving 50 social engagements through likes, comments, reposts, and saves. The highest-performing content focused on foundational environmental health concepts and the relationship between climate change and human health, reinforcing the importance of communicating scientific information in a clear and relatable manner.
This project strengthened my skills in health communication, public health education, evidence-based content development, data analysis, social media analytics, quality improvement methodology, and community engagement. Lessons learned from this initiative directly informed the design of my subsequent PDSA project focused on improving health literacy through digital education.
