Boulder County recognizes that the current GDP allows too much flexibility for the developer and doesn't include specific commitments that would protect our quality of life. This GDP iteration, while significantly changed, still does not address climate change and congestion. Boulder County also recognizes that the GDP is not in alignment with the developer's own sustainability document.
This is the fifth review letter from Boulder County that repeats concerns about lack of a visual buffer between cities, traffic congestion, and lack of sustainably and environmental protection measures. These issues were raised in letters from July 15, 2019, November 1, 2019, December 17, 2019, and June 5, 2020 and still have not been addressed. When this GDP reaches the Louisville Planning Commission in May, should they recommend approval if no changes are made nor explanation given in response the County's points below?
