Soccer Camp at Murphy Elementary School

Parents are welcome to stay and watch their children participate.

DESCRIPTION

At the Path to Victory Soccer Camp, players are introduced to basic soccer skills, such as footwork, dribbling, passing, and shooting. In addition, players will learn about sportsmanship and God’s love for them through a short devotion.

INSTRUCTOR

Camp instructor Tim Mueller has taught physical education to grades K-8 at Erin School since 1992. He also has coached elementary and middle school soccer for many years. Coach Mueller has run Path to Victory Camps each summer in his community, as well as in New Mexico, Arizona, Minnesota, California, Iowa, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alaska, Colorado, and Illinois. In addition to Coach Mueller, several other coaches and/or high school students assist with the camp.

CAMP SIZE

Only the first 30 players to register for each session will be accepted.

$15 FEE ($20 after June 25)

Includes camp t-shirt and a New Testament Bible. 

PARENTS NIGHT

On the last day of camp, in the evening, players will have the opportunity to "show off" what they've learned in the camp. (Players still come at the usual morning time as well!) The evening will begin at the field, with demonstrations and scrimmage games. Then everyone is invited to the church (St. Paul Lutheran, on Greenwood Drive in Round Lake Park - just up the street) to watch the camp video and enjoy some delicious ice cream sundaes.

DRESS

Players are required to wear sports shoes and clothes. No earrings or other jewelry may be worn. Soccer cleats and shin guards are strongly recommended.
