What is a PTBM Chapter?

A PTBM chapter is formed by a team of passionate individuals dedicated to bringing accessible, inclusive, beginner dance and movement classes for children with special needs to their local community. A chapter can be started at school, within a local region, or expanded to serve the entire city or state. All chapters share the mission: to spread joy, positivity, and confidence through dance and to create a safe space where children with special needs feel seen, supported, and free to be themselves.

What Will You Do As a Chapter Lead?

As a chapter lead, you can run your chapter in two main ways:

Lead and organize free in-person dance and movement classes for children with special needs in your community
Offer online dance classes in languages other than English to make our program more inclusive and accessible for families

(Or do both! It's up to you and what works best for your community)

You'll also:

Prepare choreography/lesson plans for each class
Partner with local schools or therapy programs to bring dance opportunities directly to children
Raise awareness for children with special needs
Host fundraising events

We will support you every step of the way with training, resources, and guidance to help your chapter grow and thrive!

Who Can Start a Chapter?

Anyone with a passion for teaching dance and making it accessible to children with special needs can start a chapter of PTBM Dance and Movement Inc.

Chapters can be started by:

High school students
College/University students
Adults of any age
Anyone with dance experience
