There are two fundamental practices a psychic must familiarise themselves with in order to tap into the psionic arts: gnosis and recalibration. These techniques harness psionic energy, that which is the gathering of astral breath.
‘Gnosis’ is the altered state of mind that seeps the conscience into astral space to utilise psionic energies. This is most commonly practised through meditation, though also attainable through exercise, prayer, ceremonial ritual, deep concentration of knowledge, arousal, self-infliction, and so forth. Greater stillness and focus results in better attunement, and advanced psychics will be able to slip into this state seamlessly.
‘Recalibration’ is the act of loading psionic energy into the astral form and tuning the consciousness to a desired set of psionics. Doing this constantly in-between actions helps the psychic to ‘reload’ and correctly adjust energy flow upon exhaustion by taking a strong deep breath and perform a somatic/verbal sequence of actions that suit the user’s style.
A proficient psychic will slip into gnosis at the faintest thought and will continuously recalibrate on a subtle level to harden their influence over the mindscape.
Disks of energy known as ‘psychic centres’ can be found at various points in one’s astral body. Being able to identify and concentrate on psychic centres helps to cleanse the flow of energy and intensify the usage of psionics. Each centre has its own attributes, ascending from subconscious to superconscious, though keeping the centres open at all times is always a benefit as blockages can hinder psychic presence.
Many psychics, particularly initiates, hum to initially feel out and raise the vibrations of their psychic centres. Advanced practitioners use this as an ‘overclock’ to push the boundaries of these centres by mastering frequency and humming on a silent level.
These psionics can generally be utilised by psychics, regardless of specialisation.
Astral Step - Momentarily slip in and out of the mental plane, mitigating physical damage for a moment.
Blink - Move at instantaneous speed across a short reach.
Dominate - Momentarily manipulate a target’s mind to act as an ally.
Fog - Evoke a mental mist that hazes the senses.
Force - Evoke a frontward psychic blast, knocking back targets within range.
Headthrob - Concentrate on attacking a target’s mind, building up mental stress until they pass out.
Heal - Instantly restore a small amount of health.
Ignite - Control a target’s temperature to set off a spark of flames, burning them.
Lapse - Confuse a target’s movement, forcing them to trip up and cancel their current action.
Mania - Evoke a blast of confusion, causing targets to distrust/attack each other for a short period.
Mind-seeking Missile - Manifest a psionic projectile that homes onto a nearby target, temporarily paralysing them.
Psionic Hand - Extend physical reach with the mind to pick up and interact with nearby objects.
Recall - Reveal the location of an informed target, typically an objective.
Reflect - Parry an incoming attack. Parrying a psychic attack with precise timing sends it back to the attacker.
Tether - Form a mental link with a target to regain/drain energy.
Meditation-based psionics require the user to remain entranced in deep gnosis. Depending on the chosen variation, an effect will activate during this meditation, remaining active until the user’s energy is fully depleted:

Meditate: Lift - Suspend nearby objects and targets in the air.
Meditate: Port - Become a target that psychic allies may use as a Blink target, with extended reach.

Based on a psychic’s chosen discipline, they will manifest a school of specialised psionics.
Ajna
Maximise the third eye, unlocking powerful foresight and divination.
All-seeing - Reveal the location of note-worthy phenomena within range.
Blinding Iris - The third eye evokes a bright flash, stunning those nearby.
Exposure - Reveal the critical weak points of nearby targets to allies.
Staredown - Fire a piercing laser from the third eye that drains energy.
Animalia
Enter the kingdom of beasts within, invoking primal psionics.
Chrono
Tap into the flow of time itself, bending the progression of existence.
Fast Forward - Intensify current movement speed for a second.
Halt - Parry an incoming direct hit, slowing down the attacker for a second.
Rewind - Revert to your previous position from three seconds ago.
Suspend - Stop the motion of time on an object for a few seconds before resuming. All force applied to the object during suspension is activated all at once on resume.
Delphi
Unlock the mental network and reach the minds of others with telepathy.
False Whispers - Evoke an aura that pollutes the minds of nearby hostiles with distracting whispers, disorienting their hearing.
Durandal
Draw upon psionic weaponry and armour and manifest martial valour.
Call to Arms - Manifest a powerful psionic weapon, active until all energy is drained from the user.
Psionic Plating - Manifest psionic armour, gaining an extra layer that mitigates damage until it is broken down.
Effigy
Tether the uninitiated to psionic constructs that redirect pain to their souls upon infliction.
Egress
Project portals outward and manifest the psionics of teleportation.
Emergency Warp - Create a limitless portal that warps those within its range upon activation. This portail will transport all caught to a random location, but empties inventory and severely depletes energy.
Gateway - Create an entrance portal and an exit portal within range of each other. Depending on the focus of the creation, the portals can be accessed multiple times before expiring.
Loopholes - Trap a target between two vertical portals, suspending them in a loop until the portals expire or they are forced out.
Rabbit Holes - Spontaneously manifest many portals within range, tossing caught phenomena in random directions until the portals expire simultaneously.
Gestura
Manifest an astral grasp, evoking psionic hand constructs.
Palmquake - Manifest two psionic hands to slam a surface repeatedly.
Paper - Restrain a target with a psionic hand, struggling until the target breaks out.
Scissor - Manifest a psionic hand that moves forward in a snipping motion.
Goliath
Convert mental strength into physical might, gaining overpowering strength.
Wrestle - Step forward and grapple a target. If successful, jump into the air and pile drive them into a surface.

Deceive the senses with a sleight of mind over illusory psionics.

Floatation - Levitate upward and glide through the air, descending slowly.
Gravitation - Flip gravity upside down within range for a short period.
Kinetic Disarm - Pull in and enchant a nearby device with telekinesis, acting as an additional piece of equipment for a short period.
Suspending Sling - Catch and suspend objects and targets within a radius, then forcefully sling them in a direction.

Assert power over the dead, forcing wrathful spirits to rise from the grave.
Undead Rising - Revive dead targets as mindless zombies to fight alongside the user.
Soul Syphon - Drain health from a target that can be redirected into the user or an ally.

Erasure - Concentrate on nullifying a target, gradually disabling their psionic capabilities.
Mental Arrest - Strike at a target’s psyche, burning their energy.

Plachette - Place down a ward that evokes a spirit to weaken nearby threats or point out objects of importance when within its range.
Reachout - Evoke a random benevolent spirit to grant a status effect.
Qigong
Focus on vital energies, moving gracefully and exposing pressure points.
Imbalance - Parry an incoming melee attack and reveal the attacker’s pressure point(s).
Natural Tune - Enhances a user or ally so that they may immediately transition out of their next meditation psionic with a non-meditation psionic.
Pressurise - Perform an intensified precise strike. If it touches a pressure point, paralyse the target.
Ronin
Draw all focus towards a mental blade, cutting through matter with deadly precision.
Kunai Shot - Quickly toss a psionic needle that travels afar, bleeding the target caught in its direction.
Unsheathe - Enter a sheathed stance upon activation. Activating again unleashes a swift, concentrated forward strike, instantly dealing bleeding damage. Bleed status is more effective upon dodging an attack whilst in stance.
Samadhi
Meditate on tranquillity with a holistic power that cleanses all defilements.
Enlightened Being - Momentarily feel nirvana, becoming an invincible being that draws the attention of targets for a short period.
Divine Merge - Temporarily enter the body of an ally, granting them immunity to physical damage.
Holy Touch - Bless at a selected location, removing negative statuses from allies within the radius.
Inner Peace - Evoke an aura that grants resistance from negative status to nearby allies.
Sacred Mantra - Chant a sacred hymn, gradually restoring either the health or energy of nearby allies.
Shoggoth
Embrace an eldritch power, shattering all sanity with ancient madness.
Ichor State - Deform a target’s mind into mush, inflicting madness. Duration of madness status increases based on the target’s lack of energy.
Sepulchral Shun - Inflict a target with eldritch spite, causing them to build up madness whilst in the mental plane.

Orchestrate the mindscape with the power of clairaudience and sound-based psionics.
Twinfold
Face the mirror of the mind and step through with the power of duplication.
Body Swap - Switch locations with an active clone.
Double Projection - Split and summon a clone to fight alongside the user.

Having transcended the discipline system, one chooses to tailor their own personal psionics. A customisable set of psionics with limitless potential. Only those who can look past the discipline system, let alone forge their own craft through sheer will, can find themselves in this position.
‘Psyware’ refers to any physical instrument that induces a mental state in the user, which is created by ‘programming and training’ the instrument to carry a symbolic psychic essence to carry out said state. These have mostly come in the form of mystical diagrams such as sigils or spiritual imagery, and specific examples being a circle of protection or a yantra.
A ‘focus’, otherwise formally known as a focal device, is an instrument used by a psychic to amplify their psyche and induce greater usage of psychic abilities. All focuses are universally cosmetic between each other and will see fit depending on the user’s personal interest.
Aura: The sensation of one’s own energy field is amplified, bridging the motions between body and mind.
Centre: Also known as chakras, these psychic centres intensify the life forces swirling around them.
Grimoire: A vast collection of spells, rituals and incantations for informing the user of their psychic prowess.
Orbuculum: A colourful sphere for scrying as a means of surfacing and reflecting subconscious potential.
Rosary: Prayer beads for counting sacred words to slip the mind into a trance.
Scripture: A flowing scroll for reciting mantras and hymns on repeat.
Silkshawl: A garment worn in meditation, its soothing texture raising the user’s vibrations.
Tarot: The act of cartomancy, gaining guidance through a symbolic deck.
Third Eye: The astral grafting of a third eye to symbolise an earnest sense of psychic phenomena.
A 'repressor' (or codex) is an astral shell used to encrypt psychic data. Such devices are mostly reserved for information, but much heftier repressors can hold living astral specimen and even the essence of a sentient being. Psyware can be sigilised to a repressor in order to access the data in the physical plane. Special psychodynamic tools can be constructed and utilised to unlock a repressor, though failure or delay to do so can result in the device lashing out, alerting nearby specimen.
Experienced psychics can transport their conscience via deep gnosis to a personal pocket space that can serve as a remote domain, as well as an inventory, that reflects the user's conscience. The 'inner space' is small and self-proclaimed and rely entirely on the user's own concentration. It is possible to house outside phenomena and energies, but will require additional concentration on the user's behalf.
Inner spaces are different from mind palaces, which are more stationary and resource-intensive estates.
