Essay Topics - Writing About Observing

If you are in the process of writing an essay about observing, and it looks like you are at a loss as to what to write, there are three basic observations or parts that you can start with. The three are Observing, Actions, and Events.

By observing, you mean to say 'What did this particular event look like from the other person's point of view?' While looking at an event as an observer is actually a stereotype, the observation part itself is true. When someone is in the middle of an action, it will be hard for them to look at it objectively and to write about it as an observer.

What do you think about what happened? Which feelings were present? That's what you should consider when writing an essay on observing. You are interested in feeling, not just what happened, so make sure to examine that before writing.

The next part is actions, which are the actual facts of what you did. A most common observation is the fact that a person who is observing gets the feeling that the person observing is observing, even though they aren't. So you want to consider how the event or action felt in your mind and how that might translate into feelings. This will require more research, but you can find out if it is realistic by testing it out.

The final part is the event itself. How did it affect you? Were you under stress or emotional over the event? Make sure that you are truly observant, though.

While observing is a good idea for some essay topics, it's really important that you stay objective about how things were actually felt. When writing an essay about observing, you can go as far as recording your thoughts so that you can reflect back on them later, but you have to stay objective. Without that kind of thought, you won't be able to make sure that you accurately represent your feelings and the way that they affected you.

Observing essay topics are perfect for students, though. If you can make the observer feel like the object of your observation, they will be more willing to write about their feelings.
