Jimmy Calanchini is an assistant professor of Social/Personality Psychology at the University of California Riverside, USA. In one line of research he uses formal mathematical modeling to investigate the cognitive processes that underlie stereotypes and prejudices. In another, related line of research, he operationalizes intergroup biases as regional constructs to examine their relation to large-scale behavioral outcomes.
Iniobong Essien is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Social and Organisational Psychology of Social Work, Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, Germany. He studies intergroup processes and social context. His research investigates how the social composition of school contexts affects teachers' decision making in the classroom; how geographic regions differ in terms of intergroup biases; and how places are described differently depending on the groups of people living there.
Anette Rohmann is full professor of Community Psychology at the Department of Psychology at the FernUniversität in Hagen, Germany. Her work focuses on intercultural relations and acculturation, intercultural competence and intercultural trainings, interventions that reduce prejudice and promote positive intergroup relations and on collective action in the context of environmental protection. Furthermore she addresses the role of context and space for stereotypes and feelings of belonging. She is also interested in creating a fruitful research-practice exchange and in the promotion of evidence-based practice.
