Mission
Our laboratory studies behavioral and physiological mechanisms related to the "associations of language and referent (sensory-motor and emotional features).
The principal investigator believes that the association between language and meaning (sensory-motor and emotional features) is the smallest unit of the mind. Our research on the "association of language and meaning (sensory-motor and emotional features)" applies not only to humans, but also to other animal species. In collaboration with people from various fields of research, we will elucidate the mechanism of the association between language and meaning (sensory-motor and emotional features), develop psychotherapy and learning methods that are effective for everyone in the world, and develop methods of communication between humans and animals. Finally, the principal investigator aims to improve the quality of life for humans and animals in the world through the use of language and meaning.
