Emma is a student in the Honors Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is from Council Bluffs, Iowa. She is on the Pre-Health track and is majoring in Nutritional Health Sciences, minoring in Spanish and Business and pursuing dentistry. Emma is a member of the Newman Center and is in Spanish, Pre-Health, and Pre-Dental Club. She is currently in the honors seminar, Psychology of Gender, and is studying how gender, for both men and women, affects our daily life.
Ellie is a student in the Honors Program at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, from Rapid City, SD. She is majoring in Electrical Engineering and Bass Performance. She is pursuing a career in renewable energy as an engineer. Her interest in the psychology of gender stems from her position as a woman in two male dominant fields: bass and engineering. She is also a proud feminist and has thoroughly enjoyed learning more about how gender affects our lives on a daily basis.
Ashley is a student in the Honors Program attending the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. She graduated from Blair High School in Nebraska in 2018. Ashley is pursuing a bachelor's degree with dual majors in environmental studies and global studies. She also has plans for a minor in Spanish language. Her background in psychology began in Fall 2016 with a high school class and continued in college with a class on Psychology of Gender. She cares about gender because it is a topic that salient in everyday life.
Alex is a student in the Honors Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, he is a Mathematics major pursuing a career in sports quantitative analysis. Alex is also a research assistant in UNL's Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior, analyzing the effects of sports-related concussions on the brain. Understanding the prominence of gender in our daily lives, and sports in particular, Alex enrolled in the honors Psychology of Gender seminar to learn how gender impacts our behavior.
