I'm Dr. Marissa Salazar and I'm so happy to have you In this course!
Throughout the course, we will explore many different concepts in psychology. In essence, you will learn a little about a lot of different things- from how the brain works, to what motivates us, and how the presence of others influences behavior. I'm excited to get to know all of you and discuss the importance of psychology in our everyday lives. My job as an educator is to facilitate learning. I believe knowledge is power and that every individual has the potential to learn. I believe in student-centered learning and that you, as the student, come into class with a wealth of knowledge already. I tailor all my courses depending on who is taking each class and the unique experience each student brings. Learning can be both fun and challenging and I hope to provide you with a course that you truly enjoy and see how what you learn in the classroom applies to the real world.
