About Me...
Hi there! My name is Jennifer Boyd, but you can call me Ms. Boyd, Jennifer, Jenn, Professor, or teacher (I answer to all of them!).
Originally from Indiana, I received my B.S. in Psychology (minor Biology) from Tri-State University (Angola, IN), and my M.S. in Psychology from the University of Saint Francis (Fort Wayne, IN).
I have been teaching with MCCCD since 2008 (over 17 years, man I feel old!), and am currently pursuing my doctorate in Evaluation, Statistics, and Methodology at the University of Tennessee Knoxville (expected 2028).
I have always been intrigued by how the brain works, how disorders are continuously being re-classified, and I love collecting and analyzing data. Discussing (or debating!) what factors into our weirdness is something I love to do!
In my limited spare time, now that I am once again a graduate student, I love yoga, gardening, and spending time with my silly cats (Charlie and Cooper).
Charlie and Cooper love exploring, and opening businesses (currently they own: an ice cream truck, a bakery, a paw reading palace, and a toy shop). Their diner in Arizona was shut down for health code (oh goodness!). I guess running business is not so easy for cute little fur babies...
...and they tend to sleep on the job OFTEN ;-)
