I am a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. I work in probability theory, especially on stochastic analysis in the context of fluid dynamics and kinetic theory of gases, in recent years. My research interests include semimartingale theory, interacting particle systems, martingale problems, and large deviations theory. I have advised ten graduate students for their doctoral theses. I have visited University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University, each for a year, and made shorter visits to University of Luleå (Sweden), Carleton University (Canada), Division of Sciences at the U. S. Navy in San Diego, and Bergische Universität Wuppertal (Germany). I have co-authored a book titled Stochastic Analysis and Diffusion Processes with Professor G. Kallianpur, published in 2014 by Oxford University Press. I can be reached at psundar at lsu.edu
