Yes and no. I can't force you to use the syllabus. However, I encourage you to review the syllabus throughout the semester because it contains important information, like your reading assignments, class policies, and people to know. Also, I'll grade the Syllabus Survey.
Only if you want to pass. You must attend and participate in at least 75% of classes in order to pass. (Being a black box on a screen is not enough. You have to be actively engaged with the class.)
Please note that there is no such thing as an excused absence.
Also, my philosophy is that it is better to get some learning than none. I would rather you log on to the class as much as you can than just give up.
Your readings will be on Perusall.
Your up to date average is visible in the gradebook on Brightspace.
If you would like to discuss your grade at any point, contact your instructor (klwithington@pstcc.edu).
You can check my schedule. Depending on the day/time, you can find me on campus, on Zoom, or on Slack. You can also contact me by email.
I'll announce work in class and on Brightspace.
First, read the rest of the syllabus.
If you still can't find the answer, email me (klwithington@pstcc.edu).
