''We Can Build, A Better."
The Office of the Sheriff, City and County of Philadelphia is committed to serving and protecting the lives, property and rights of all within a framework of high ethical standards and professional conduct at all time.
The mission of the Philadelphia Sheriff's Office is to provide the highest level of safety, service and security to the people of Philadelphia County. This is accomplished through the five core functions of our department:
Prevent loss of life, injures and property damage;
Maximize service to the public and assistance to allied agencies;
Manage traffic and emergency incidents;
Protect public and city assets;
Improve department efficiency.
Job duties include providing patrol, criminal investigation, and staff support services. Deputies provide for the regulation of traffic, crime scenes, tactical response, and maintaining public order and security. Duties are usually performed independently and require the ability to recognize immediate problem areas. Deputies must make responsible decisions and take the appropriate corrective action without the benefit of close supervision. Deputies operate in situations that are often stressful or dangerous in nature.
The Philadelphia Sheriff's Office has identified several job duties which are essential to an individual who holds the position of Philadelphia Sheriff's Office Deputy. These essential job functions include:
"...interprets laws and statutes of the Commonwealth; pursues suspects; effects arrests; qualifies with and, when necessary, uses agency firearms and other self-defense devices; operates vehicles and uses equipment in conjunction with law enforcement duties; responds to emergencies, civil disorders, and disasters; and performs rescue functions."
Each Philadelphia Sheriff's Office Deputy has a corresponding job description that contains the language above and also contains specific duties for the position they hold. Upon promotion to the rank of Deputy and assignment to a platoon and field sergeant, a job description will be formulated which outlines the majority of the duties a deputy must be able to perform in successfully completing their duties.
The Philadelphia Sheriff's Office may only employ a max of 200 Deputies, nothing more.

Active Sheriff: FunnyLargeRabbit
We are in no way trying to attempt to impersonate the real Philadelphia Sheriff's Office, nor are we trying to create a mockery of their cause. We are simply a community of individuals, who have similar interests in how a Law Enforcement Agency operates, and many aspire to become a Law Enforcement Officer in the real world. We very much admire the real PSO, and try to replicate their work into a Video Game, for our entertainment.
