Hi! My name is Emma Burnkrant and I am a current fourth year pursuing a BA in psychology and sociology. After graduating, I will be commissioning into the Air Force! As this is my first semester as president, my goal is to improve the behind the scenes organizational structure and to expand our Psi Sigma family! I have been a learning assistant for PSY 100, an officer in Psi Chi, and a research assistant in two psychology research labs. Outside of school, I enjoy going to the movies, watching horror movies, and playing video games. If you have any questions about Psi Sigma, psychology opportunities, or anything, please let me know!

Hi! My name is Niko Tanaka, and I am a current junior pursuing a BA in psychology. After graduating, I hope to pursue graduate school and study more about psychology! As a previous member, I am super excited to be a part of the Psi Sigma team this year! I joined a few of events from Psi Sigma in my first year and became an active member since last semester! I love how I got to meet with so many new people and became friends with them!!!Everyone is super nice,friendly,and ambitious which what I love about this club!!!When I’m not studying,I enjoy various activities like spending time with friends, reading books,or watching movies. Hiii everyone!! My name is Tricia and I'm a 3rd-year student getting my BS in psychology! After graduating next year, I hope to continue on to grad school to get my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, specializing in pediatrics. This is going to be my 3rd semester serving on the Psi Sigma officer team, and I am so excited to be back!! I love getting to talk psychology and make friends who share the same interests as me. Outside of school, I love to travel, and most likely always have a new trip in the works. I also love to bake/cook, run, hike, and go on side quests of any kind! I currently work as an RA (resident assistant) in the student dorms and as a barista at Gateway Starbucks, so come say hi anytime!

Hi! My name is Rhiannon Wong, and I am a current sophomore pursuing a BS in psychology on the pre-health track. After graduating, I hope to pursue medical school and become a practicing physician! As a previous member, I am super excited to be a part of the Psi Sigma team this year! I joined Psi Sigma in my first year to meet new people who shared the same interest in psychology and to get more involved on campus. When I’m not studying or in the gym, I enjoy various activities like spending time with friends, baking, and assisting in coaching my high school cheer team. Aloha kākou! My name is Leinaʻala; this is my second year at UHM, but I have a junior standing. I’m double majoring in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies. I’m going to be the Director of Academic & Professional Events for the 2026 Fall semester. I chose to major in psychology because it’s a topic that really resonated with me and something that I’m passionate to pursue research in. I’ve always wondered why people (especially children) think, feel, behave, and act the way that they do which is what led me to want to pursue psychology. A few fun facts about me would be that I have four siblings (2 of which are twins), I’ve lived in four different states, and I love Snoopy

Hello! I’m Mari and I’m a third-year honors BA Psychology student. After my undergraduate I hope to go to graduate school and work in neuropsychology! I’m also currently an RA for the REEF lab here at UHM! I first joined Psi Sigma to make friends with other psychology majors and to learn about the academic opportunities here. Some things I enjoy doing at the moment are playing video games, going out with my friends, and trying new cafes! I’m looking forward to having a great semester in Psi Sigma!

Aloha! My name is Lyla Nakayama and I am currently a sophomore pursuing a BA Psychology degree. Post grad I hope to pursue a masters in either psychology or social work. Last year I found being DCSE to be so fulfilling that I’ve returned this year with hopes of making even more community connections and bring service events that you all want to see! Outside of Psi Sigma, I love going to the gym so if you see me at the rec center feel free to say hi!
