Founded in 2024, the Seven Lakes Psi Alpha chapter is a psychology national honor society inviting students who plan to major or minor in psychology, as well as students who have an interest in psychology. Our mission is to enhance high school students’ understanding and knowledge of the science of psychology, how psychology benefits society, and career opportunities available in psychology.
Membership is open to students who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, have completed a psychology course with an 85 or higher, or scored at least a 3 on the Psychology AP exam. Students who have received an 85 or higher in at least one marking period of a psychology course are considered eligible.
Using your code in the invitation to you, click here to register. If you have not yet been invited but are interested in psychology and meet the requirements above, contact the Psi Alpha president, Donya Adeli, and ask to be invited. We will verify your qualifications and provide you an invitation code, which you will use to register and pay a one-time lifetime membership fee. You must register and pay on the website to be a member.
Since its creation in 2024, the Seven Lakes Psi Alpha chapter has been associated with the Alzheimer’s Association of Texas. Together, we spread awareness of Alzheimer's and its effects to students through creating volunteer opportunities for high schoolers at senior care homes and support groups in our area.
Whether it be volunteering to set up holiday dinners for patients and their families, assisting in organizing support groups, educating students on how to assist those afflicted with Alzheimer's, or even the simple act of creating handmade cards for senior homes during the holidays, we seek to positively impact our local community in any way we can.
Through this initiative, groups that typically wouldn’t be associated with one another—teenagers and seniors, students and caretakers—have become united through a shared purpose. Rather than ignoring the uncomfortable realities of Alzheimer’s devastating toll, our Psi Alpha chapter has helped create a local movement to provide support and foster an intergenerational sense of community.
