Normal PGA rules, allowed a clubs length relief if ball is unplayable due to
manmade structures (ie. benches, signs, fences). If relief is taken, ball CANNOT
be moved closer to the green.
Pine Shores relief: We all know Pine Shores sucks dick, so if your ball lands in
a weird dirt spot or bad divot you are allowed 1 foot of relief, not closer to the
green. This relief is also at the groups discretion during the round. And you do NOT
get relief if you have a shitty shot because you're stuck behind a tree. Punch out like
a man!
If you play a ball and know exactly where it should be but just cant find it becuase
Pine Shores is just overgrown, you can drop for NO extra strokes. Of course this is
at the groups discretion, they must all agree where you should drop and if you
should even drop.
Normal stroke penalty if your ball goes OB/unplayable.
Every week scoring comes from head-to-head match-ups and total standings.
H2H: You will be paired with a random opponent each week where handicap
differentials are calculated in (the higher handicap minus the lower, the difference
is given to the worse player as strokes to take off final score, max of 9+). Receive
8 points for a win, 4 points for a tie, and 0 points for a loss.
Best Scores: Handicap differentials are NOT calculated in and top 6 players
for the day receive points. Scoring goes 6 points 1st, 5 points for 2nd, 4 points
for 3rd, 3 points for 4th, 2 point for 5th, and 1 point for 6th with the remaining players all
receiving no points. Ties share the standing with the next best after that staying
in the ranking (ex. The top 6 scores go 42, 45, 45, 47, 49, 49 - then the rankings would
be 1st place, 2nd place, 2nd place, 4th place, 5th place, 5th place)
2v2: Each week random 2v2 teams will be matched up. Both teammates scores for the week will be averaged. Handicaps are NOT used. The lowest THREE scores receive 5 points each.
Group Play: Based off of the leader board standings from the previous week, 3 groups will be made. Group A will be the top 5 players, Group B will be the middle 5 players, and Group C will be the bottom 6 players. Every players score is taken in for the week and averaged. As well, a team average for handicap is used in calculating a final group score. The lowest score take points for the week but on a weighted scale: Group A can receive 1 point, Group B 3 points, and Group C 5 points. Ties still take their points.
Group play won't begin until week 3.
Skins: $1 skins for if one of us beats out the other guys on a hole straight up,
no ties and no handicaps. Skins are totaled up for end of season payout.
Fun Week: There will be 1 weekend that breaks normal competition with a two team best ball golf outing at a different golf course. Teams are drafted by the two top golfers in the league at the point of that week, and all players of the winning team receives an additional 8 points.
You get a 1-foot, 'tap in' gimme putt but it is at your groups discretion. If they
think it's still a tough putt and want to see you do it, prove the haters wrong and do it.
If your opponent is a no show for H2H matchups, the 'ghost' player is given an
automatic 17+ (53). Handicaps are applicable if you are the underdog. Points
remain the same for a win or tie, but the 'ghost' player does not receive points
no matter what happens.
For 2v2s and Group Play, absent players receive their handicap +4 as their score. (Ex. your partner is a +10 handicap, their score given would be a 50 (36 + 10 + 4))
Competitors have the whole week (Monday-Sunday) to get their match played, you must play against your opponent on the same day, and you must have a at least one other group with you to keep it honorable. Bohm is watching.
Playoffs begin July 20th. TOP 12 players makes the playoff in a H2H with seeding off of the final standings from the leader board and with the TOP 4 seeds receiving BYES. Tiebreakers for seeding go 1. More H2H W's 2. More 1st finishes... More 2nds... etc. 3. More Ties 4. Less H2H L's 5. Coin flip. The winner of each H2H matchup advances to the next round.
The championship round is NOT H2H, All of the four players play against each other, best score is crown the Pine Shores Grand Champion.
Handicaps are USED used for the entirety of playoffs with a cap of 3 stroke differential.
